    • Ensuring the scientific integrity of data, analysis, and references
  3. Authorship
    AI tools or automated systems must not be listed as authors under any circumstances.
  4. Use as a Source
    Generative AI tools must not be cited as a primary source or reference in scholarly work.

2. Policy for Reviewers and Editors

  1. Restriction on AI Use in Evaluation
    Peer reviewers and editors are not permitted to use generative AI tools to produce review reports or editorial decisions due to risks such as:
    • Confidentiality breaches
    • Bias and inaccuracies
    • Superficial or non-specific feedback
    • Fabricated or misleading information (e.g., false references)
  2. Limited Acceptable Use
    AI may be used for minor language editing or readability improvements, provided that:
    • No confidential or sensitive manuscript content is exposed
    • The use is transparent when significant

3. Policy for the Journal

  1. Transparency in Automated Tools
    The journal will disclose any routine use of automated tools in editorial and publishing processes.
  2. Validation and Testing
    All automated tools used must be properly evaluated and applied responsibly.
  3. Human Oversight
    All automated processes must involve human supervision. Editors or editorial staff will:
